2023-24 School Year:  Michigan Public School Students Prek-12 will receive Breakfast and Lunch at NO CHARGE.

 

Both the Michigan House and Senate approved Healthy School Meals for All in the state budget.

The budget will fund FREE school meals for all public K-12 students in Michigan for the 2023-24 School Year.  

Districts MUST still collect Free/Reduced Meal Applications.  We still need to verify eligibility levels for proper accounting of meals. 

Jenison and Hudsonville also still offer discounts on many school programs, including funding for Title 1 Math and Reading programs!!

Hudsonville Christian Elementary:  Will continue to offer lunches at the Paid rate of $2.50 per student. Students who qualify for Reduced-Price Meal Benefits will receive lunch at NO CHARGE.   Apply for meal benefits online at Hudsonville Family Portal

  • A NEW application must be filled out every year.

  • If your family receives SNAP (food stamp) benefits, no application is necessary; you will receive a letter confirming your benefits.

  • Once your application is approved, benefits begin immediately.  We will also notify you via mail.

  • Students who qualify for meal benefits use their account just like everyone else. 

  • Any item purchased beyond a school meal is a la carte and they must have money in the account to purchase those items.

  • All meal benefit information is confidential.
